ADMIRE INTERIORS

Ōtautahi - Christchurch

Threefold Architecture was tasked with revitalising the iconic red brick building at 68 Durham Street, on the southwest corner of Durham and Battersea Streets in Sydenham, Christchurch. While initial post-earthquake upgrades were completed in 2012, our involvement in 2019 marked a new chapter—reimagining the building from the inside out to reflect Admire’s identity and support their day-to-day operations as a respected interiors business.

The narrative in this case saw an opportunity to pick apart how Admire works on the daily. We wanted to gain a clear understanding of how we, as the spatial designer, could add value far beyond something that looks good and is easy on the eye; to dive deep into the benefits of well-considered internal spaces—spaces that hold the user in the highest regard and meaningfully support connection, creativity, and client experience.  Working closely with Admire, we developed a series of refined interior environments that mirror the quality and energy of their brand. These spaces are tactile, warm, and intuitive—offering varied atmospheres across work, social, and client-facing zones.

A collaborative selection and playful application of materials has equated to a unique result that sits comfortably in the greater Sydenham area and represents the local vibe. The project celebrates what interiors can achieve when guided by empathy, clarity, and character—delivering a place that genuinely reflects its occupants and the community around it.

This project centred on the reimagining of interior space to better support Admire’s evolving needs and showcase their standing within the interiors industry. The approach was not simply about aesthetics—it was about designing an environment that would enrich daily experience, align with their values, and reflect the brand’s personality across every touchpoint.
